Fair Society, Healthy Lives - Marmot Review briefing

Voluntary Sector North West (VSNW) have published a useful Marmot Review briefing paper.

The Marmot Review was carried out in order to propose the most effective evidence-based strategies for reducing health inequalities in England from 2010. The Review is calling for health inequalities to sit alongside tackling climate change as the core of society’s achievement. Creating a sustainable future is, the Review says, entirely compatible with action to reduce health inequalities: sustainable local communities, active transport, sustainable food production, and zero carbon houses will all have health benefits across society.

The briefing paper can be downloaded from: www.vsnw.org.uk
