The Social Investment Business have launched a £16m Capital Funding Package which is available through the Department of Health’s Social Enterprise Investment Fund (SEIF).
Grants from £100,000 to £450,000 are available for social enterprises working in health and social care that require funding into capital assets. The grants are part of the Department of Health’s Social Enterprise Investment Fund. They can be used for: - Securing premises - Purchasing vehicles - Updating systems - Refurbishment - Equipment If your project exceeds £450,000 you may be eligible for additional loan financing to cover the shortfall. The grants are available to those organisations that have been trading for 12 months or more and are looking to grow/improve their services within the health and social care sector. Application deadline The application deadline is 19 February 2010 for posted applications and 21 February 2010 for emailed applications. However, grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and there is only a limited pot of money available.
