Date: 11 February 2010 (9.30am – 1.00pm) - followed by lunch. Venue: Blackburne House, Off Hope Street, Liverpool, L8 7PE. What does RS2010 mean for the Greater Merseyside Third Sector? RS2010 provides the NW with a unique opportunity to bring together its spatial, economic, social and environmental strategies and build a new long term vision for the region. The goal is to produce an agreed strategy which will guide action and investment by Business, National and Local Government and the Voluntary and Community Sectors. This event will look at Part 1 of RS2010 which has been produced following the consultation on the Issues & Principles Paper during 2009. Groups from across Greater Merseyside took part in the first consultation and our contribution is evident. At this free event partners from the key regional agencies will give a brief overview on RS2010 and a presentation on the key points in Part 1. You will have the opportunity to feedback to regional partners and this offers us an opportunity to discuss the shared priorities important to Greater Merseyside’s development.
The RS2010 strategy is very important to the sector because it will become a key framework for determining key funding priorities for the years to come. The evidence has shown that the third sector has managed to influence the development of Part 1 of RS2010. It is important that we make the most of this opportunity to further influence the strategy through this consultation.
This event is aimed at Third Sector organisations (e.g. Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector, Social Enterprise, Housing Trusts, Cooperatives and Mutuals etc) across Greater Merseyside.
Further Information Part 1 of the RS2010 document - The High-Level Strategic Framework - has been published for an 8 week consultation. To download the document and for further details about the consultation visit: www.nwregionalstrategy.com
